Pain at nearly 16 weeks

All weekend I have been suffering with pain in my lower abdomen. It started as I was walking with my sister-in-law on Saturday and has been on and off since then, at times I would say the pain was quite severe. We ended up seeing a Gynecologist on Sunday morning at the hospital who checked the heartbeat but due to it being a weekend could do do an ultrasound there and then so I was booked in for today with the EPU.

I have just had the scan to check everything is okay and the sonographer was very reassuring that the baby is growing how it should, the pain has been put down to stretching pains. I have also been told that the placenta is anterior which means I may not be able to feel the baby until a little later in pregnancy, it is also sitting quite low so by the 20 week scan they want to see it has moved away from the cervix. Fingers crossed as I would rather not have a c-section!
